GuapKeep dollars or collect cashNot verifiedFull sender costs

This does not mean you need to request a quote from Guap. The sending app’s costs determine how many dollars reach Guap. There is no separate Teller withdrawal fee, and any unwithdrawn balance stays yours.

Teller rate dated September 30, 2026. Cash is dispensed in TT$100 notes, within your verification limits.

Compare using your sender quote

Use the net dollar balance for exactly $500 USD spent, after sender conversion, sending and Guap receiving costs.

Guap’s figure includes cash plus the TT-dollar value of any balance kept in the app. Cash withdrawals use TT$100 notes and are subject to limits. All rows use the same sender budget; their assumptions and delivery methods differ.

Sources and comparison method

Guap publishes this comparison about its own product. Guap’s value uses the net dollar balance entered for the stated sender budget, multiplied by its dated Teller rate. It includes cash plus the value retained in the app. A complete sender quote is needed to compare all costs; no fee allowance is assumed.

Provider estimates use (500 minus the recorded fee) × the recorded exchange rate, assuming that fee and rate apply to the smaller principal. Other card, intermediary or receiving-bank charges may apply. Unknown rates are excluded from the numerical comparison.

Research excludes introductory promotions and does not cover every provider or funding method. For example, Xoom’s recorded US bank-funded method differs from its PYUSD funding option. Provider names link to source pages; rates may have changed.

Your questions, answered.

What is the cheapest way to send money from United States to Trinidad?

Guap’s advantage is the value you get when turning dollars into TT-dollar cash: the Teller rate reported September 30, 2026 was TT$7.70 for every $1 in Guap. You can keep your balance in dollars or collect cash without a Trinidad bank account, with no separate Teller withdrawal fee. To compare total cost for a $500 budget, include the sending app’s conversion and fees plus Guap’s receiving costs, then compare the full value received at the current Teller rate. Any amount you leave in Guap remains yours. It is not a charge.

Does the recipient need a bank account?

Guap does not require a Trinidad bank account. The recipient needs the Guap app, the appropriate verification tier and access to a Teller for cash-out. Conventional cash-pickup services also offer options without a bank account.

Which address should the sender use?

For Lightning, use yourname@guap.to from Add Cash → Bitcoin Wallets. For Cash App's USDC flow, copy the Solana address under Add Cash → Cash App; do not use the Lightning address. For Shakepay USDC, copy the Base address under Add Cash → USDC and choose Base.

What rate does the Guap Teller pay?

Guap’s published Teller rate was TT$7.70 for every $1 in Guap on September 30, 2026. This dated reference is not a live quote. Check the app before confirming; sender costs and receiving fees also affect your final amount.
