Known scams
Updated
Guap never asks for your bank login, your password, your recovery phrase, or your PIN. Guap never promises to multiply your money — "turn $400 into $6,000 in 72 hours" is the classic pitch, and it is always a scam. And Guap never DMs you first.
If anyone claiming to be Guap does any of these things, they are a scammer. This page is updated whenever a new impersonator surfaces — check back if someone reaches out and you're not sure.
How to spot the real Guap
These are the only official Guap accounts and channels. Anything else claiming to be Guap is fake — even if the username looks almost identical. Scammers use lookalike spellings with extra letters, dots, or underscores.
- TikTok: @guap.me and @guap.trini
- Instagram: @theguapapp
- Founder Alexandra Lutch: @alexandra.lutch on TikTok and @alexandra.lutch on Instagram
- Website: getguap.app — the only legitimate Guap website
- Support: WhatsApp at +1 (868) 349-0993 — the only support channel. We reply when you message us; we never message first.
Guap sells digital dollars at the Guap Teller and moves money through the app. Guap does not offer investment products, trading signals, or coaching programs. For what we do legitimately ask for during verification, see why we ask.
What scammers try
- The multiplier pitch. "Turn $400 into $6,000 in 72 hours" or some version of it. Real Guap has no high-return scheme. Anyone pitching one in Guap's name is a scammer.
- "Do you have access to internet banking?" They ask this early, then ask for your bank credentials. End the conversation and block them.
- Livestream interception. Scammers watch Guap livestreams and DM viewers pretending to be "Guap support". Real support reaches you only on WhatsApp at +1 (868) 349-0993, and only after you message us.
- "Send to this address." They give you a wallet address or a third-party bank account — often in a stranger's name, used as a money mule. Never send to an address that didn't come from someone you know and trust personally.
Known impersonator accounts
Do not engage with any of these. All have been reported.
Instagram and Facebook
- @guapinvestment.service — the most active impersonator, also running paid Meta ads. Uses stolen Guap and founder footage.
- @guap.me_ (note the trailing underscore) — branded as "Caribbean Crypto Forex Trading". Active since November 2025.
- @financettd8 — display name "alexandra guaparina". Uses the founder's photo. Active since September 2025.
- @tradingchampfx — display name "Guap.". References a backup "@guap.app" handle. Active since August 2025.
- "Guap Investments by Alexandra Lutch" — a Facebook page impersonating the founder.
- Any generic account named "Guap" that isn't one of the official accounts above.
TikTok
- @guapinvestment.service
- @guapme (no dot — not the real @guap.me) — poses as a "Guap backup page". Reported by a customer on June 3, 2026. Guap does not have a backup page; anyone telling you to follow one is a scammer.
- @guap.chain — fake. Guap does not have a chain.
WhatsApp numbers
- +1 (868) 468-3595 — labelled "Coach". Sends cold "Hello dear" outreach.
- +1 (868) 797-1031 — uses the alias "Alexander". Pulls victims into a WhatsApp group.
- +1 (205) 435-6167 — reaches out and tries to move you onto WhatsApp.
Websites
- chroniclesfxmarket.com — the site behind a WhatsApp Business profile called "Guap investment". It has nothing to do with Guap. The only Guap website is getguap.app.
If you've been targeted
- Stop replying. Don't argue, don't engage — block the account.
- Do not send money or share any banking, password, or PIN information. If you already shared bank details, call your bank's fraud line right away.
- Screenshot everything — the messages, the profile, anything they sent you.
- Report it to us on WhatsApp. We'll help you report it and take it down.
- If you lost money, report it to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Cybercrime Unit.
Every reported account gets documented and filed for takedown with Meta, TikTok, and the relevant authorities. The more reports we get, the faster these come down.
Stuck, or something didn't go through? Message us on WhatsApp — we reply within 12 hours, usually faster. Text only; the number doesn't take voice calls or voice notes.
