Buy and cash out at the Teller

The Guap Teller turns cash into USDB, Guap's digital dollar (1 USDB is designed to equal 1 US dollar) — and turns USDB back into cash. Both directions take a couple of minutes and work at every Teller location, 24/7.

The Teller works only with the Guap App. If you haven't set it up yet, start with Download and get started.

Cash rules

• TT$100 bills only — the machine accepts and dispenses nothing else
• TTD only — no US dollars or other foreign currency
• No cards — the Teller is cash in, cash out

Before you go

Open the Guap Teller card in the app. It shows today's live rate and each machine's status, so you know before you travel. No rate is locked in advance — the rate you get is the live quote at the moment you transact.

If mobile data is slow at a machine, every location has WiFi you can use — message us on WhatsApp for access.

Buy USDB with cash

1. At the Teller screen, tap the green triangle — Buy USDB. A QR code appears.
2. In the app, tap Add Cash → Guap Teller and scan the Teller's QR.
3. Insert TT$100 bills one at a time. The screen counts each one.
4. When you're done, tap Send coins in the app.
5. USDB lands in your wallet within seconds.
6. Take the receipt and photograph it before you leave.

Cash out to TTD

1. At the Teller screen, tap the blue arrow — Sell USDB.
2. Enter the TTD amount you want. A QR code appears.
3. In the app, tap the scan icon at the top right of the home screen and scan the Teller's QR.
4. Confirm the send — USDB leaves your wallet.
5. Cash dispenses in TT$100 bills within seconds.
6. Take the cash and the receipt, and photograph the receipt.
