Send money from the app

The Guap App sends money in five directions: to another Guap user, to an exchange, to Cash App, to a Lightning wallet, or to an on-chain Bitcoin address. It holds USDB, Guap's digital dollar (1 USDB is designed to equal 1 US dollar), alongside Bitcoin, USDT, and USDC.

To another Guap user

1. Tap Send and type their Guap username — no address needed. (A spark1… Guap address works too.)
2. Enter the amount and confirm. It lands in seconds, with no fee.

To an exchange (Binance, OKX, RedotPay)

1. In the exchange, open the deposit page for USDT or USDC and copy the deposit address. Note which network the address is for.
2. In Guap, tap Cash out and select USDT or USDC.
3. Pick the network to match the exchange's deposit page: USDC sends on Base or Solana; USDT sends on Ethereum (ERC-20) or Tron (TRC-20).
4. Paste the address and confirm. It arrives in a few minutes.

To Cash App (US only)

Cash App has its own flow — don't send to it over Lightning. Guap sends USDC on Solana to the recipient's Cash App, and it converts to their Cash App balance.

1. The recipient opens Cash App, goes to the Home tab, taps Deposit USDC, chooses the Solana network, and copies their address.
2. In Guap, tap Cash out → Cash App and paste that address.
3. Confirm. It arrives in minutes.

New York: Cash App doesn't offer stablecoins there, so pick Cash App for New York instead and paste the recipient's Cash App Bitcoin address (in Cash App: Money tab → Bitcoin → Receive).

To a Lightning wallet (Strike, Blink, Shakepay)

1. Copy the recipient's Lightning address, or have them generate a Lightning invoice.
2. Tap Cash out and choose Bitcoin Wallet — or the dedicated Strike, Blink Wallet, or ShakePay option.
3. Paste the address or invoice and confirm. It arrives in seconds.

This is the same rail family and friends use to send money to you from abroad — it works in both directions.

To an on-chain Bitcoin address

1. Tap Cash out and select Bitcoin.
2. Paste the BTC address and confirm.
3. Wait. On-chain Bitcoin takes 10–60+ minutes to confirm. Track it at mempool.space using the transaction hash.

Which route, at a glance

What you can't send

ETH and other altcoins aren't supported. To move them through Guap, swap them to Bitcoin or USDT on the exchange where you already hold them, then send from there.

If something looks stuck

• A deposit didn't arrive. Confirm the transaction on-chain first — you need a real transaction hash (for Ethereum, it starts with 0x…). If it's confirmed on-chain but not in your wallet after 10–15 minutes, message us on WhatsApp with the hash, the amount, the network, and your Spark address.
• A send to an exchange didn't show up there. The two most common causes: wrong network, or the exchange changed its deposit address and you used an old one. Send us the transaction hash and the destination address.
• The app shows "Processing transfer…" On-chain Bitcoin takes 10–60+ minutes. Check mempool.space with the transaction hash — if it's in the mempool, it will land. Do not resend.
